Given our rich, fourth generation baking family history that spans over 100 years within our local communities, it is only fitting that Earlyrise Baking Co. are implementing change to become local leaders in sustainable business practices including, manufacturing, retail & logistics. We aim to make sustainability a part of the way we do business both internally and externally & encourage profitable growth from all corporate entities. Earlyrise Baking Co. is passionate about growing our business sustainably whilst reducing our environmental footprint.
What we have achieved
- Finalist in the Green Globe Awards 2015
- Latest technology - We endeavour to keep up with the latest technology such as soft start, VSD's and auto shut down motors. By upgrading our refrigerator system we reduced our electricity consumption by 40%.
- Solar panels - We have installed solar panels to lower our carbon footprint by over 50% (daytime power demand)
- Improved packaging - Where we can, we utilise a 100% recyclable mono plastic rewind. This is a surface printed 30um BOPP (Biaxially-oriented polypropylene) known as #5 in recycling. We are always investigating new and improved packaging opportunities to stay ahead of the market.
